Last year we attended Miss Marvelous and fell in love! This pageant honors the adorable girls from all 3 local high school that are part of the special needs program.
As a member of ASB, Taylor had a chance to help with this year's event. She is also part of the HUGS club on campus and works with these girls throughout the year. She has formed an exceptionally strong bond with Danica. Taylor actually did gymnastics with her younger sister when they were toddlers! Tonight, she was Danica's "buddy" and helped her behind the scenes.
Each of the girls were escorted on to the stage in fancy dresses, they each performed a talent and there were video interviews, as well.
Andrew also does HUGS club with Taylor and was honored to be one of the escorts. He was so sweet and even spun Dani around to show off her pretty dress!
At the end of the evening, each of the girls were given a sash, crown and gift bag. The audience cheered them on with applause and loud screams and the girls were all smiles.
Devan was one of this year's coordinators and did a great job.
Jacob was a very handsome escort too!
Danica looked so pretty in her pink dress and matching tennis shoes and had so much fun dancing to "I'm a Believer" with her brother and sister. We gave her flowers at the end and her parents were so thankful that she had Taylor as her buddy and the most handsome of all of the escorts :)
This event is truly inspiring and it is wonderful to see all of these students give their time and effort to make these girls feel truly special!
