California Adventure

We needed one last "hoorah" before Taylor goes back to Kansas.  It was a cold and rainy Tuesday, but that meant very few crowds and the girls were all up for it!  Turbo and Jenna joined us too.

 Mater's ride in CarsLand
The new IncrediCoaster...they loved it!  I took pictures!
 Soaring over the water

 Recreating UP in Hollywood
The littles went on the Ferris Wheel while we waited to meet Buzz and Woody! Great day with the girls...I so cherish these times!

Happy 85th Poppy!

The Lebiski's hosted a surprise party for Poppy's 85th Birthday!

Our family has so many wonderful memories with Poppy over the years and it was fun helping in celebrate.
It was a chilly night but the girls cuddled by the fire pit
and listened to Hank's band play.
We took lots of group pictures, shared funny stories of his 85 years
and watched the sweetest slide show.  Here is Poppy with his 3 kids!
All of the New York family flew out too.  It was great to finally meet them all.
Happy 85th Poppy!

White Elephant

A night full of laughs at the annual White Elephant Party hosted by the Schreck's.
Darian dared to open the largest box (bigger than her) only to find this tiny ceramic turtle wrapped in bubble wrap!
Zoey opened the Trump toilet brush, but it was quickly stolen by the Joyce's.
The kids had fun playing Reanna's pimple popping game!
 Nice apron Dan!
The Santa suit and slippers were a hit!
Maylie sporting my $8 find at Marshalls...size 19 Nike football cleats!
I opened the chicken hat from Poppy, but Allison had fun wearing it most of the night!
Not sure Taylor should wear her new scarf around campus, but it sure was funny!  I love how creative everyone gets.  Time to start looking for next year's gifts...

Jaden and Karsten

The girls and I attended the wedding reception for Jaden and Karsten.
Jaden is married!  These 2 have been in class together since 1st grade!  Today she got married in the San Diego Mormon Temple and had her reception at the Pauba ward.
It was beautiful down to every last detail!
The cutest little kid table!
Jaden's mom made all of these cakes!
Hard to believe this is the church's gym!
 Head table
 Hot cocoa bar
 A beautiful photo wall
We wish Jaden and Karsten a wonderful life together as they move to Hawaii to attend BYU!

Meet Annie

Matt wins!  He has been wanting another pup for a while...I kept saying no...he went to PetSmart to look at dogs...he texted us pictures of some...convinced Taylor, Andrew and me to go back down to PetSmart with him...Taylor spotted this cute puppy Annie...we called Allison to come down to see her...somehow within minutes I was signing the adoption agreement...OMG!
She is a 4 month old Shepard mix who was brought into the vet as part of a litter of 8 puppies who got into rat poison.  4 puppies died and 4 were saved and taken in by Hope Ranch Sanctuary so they could recover and get placed in foster care for adoption.
She is super soft and loves to cuddle, play with squeaky toys and has no concept of personal space!
She is crate trained for bedtime and only had 2 potty accidents,
but she has severe separation anxiety when we leave her in the crate during the day.  Working on that!

We weren't sure what Kaia would think of her, but she warmed up quickly and has been super patient with her!  They chase each other all over the house and battle all day for toys.
Matt loves that she is such a cuddle and literally molds as close as she can to us!
We did have a little scare a day 3 with her.  She was vomiting and had diarrhea so took her to the vet to get tested for Parvo.  Luckily it was just a few parasites that were easily treated with meds.  Love how she wrapped her paws around my arm for the drive to the vet!
She loved her first trip to the beach
and we are working to teach her how to "potty" on leash.
She plays hard and then crashes just as hard.
We are in love and glad to have her as the newest family member.  Welcome Annie!
