Midnight Satellites

Kodi Lee won America's Got Talent last fall and we were at the finale to witness it!  He continues to perform once in a while with Midnight Satellites hear locally.
Tonight they played at Lorimar Winery in front of a packed crowd!
We didn't wait in line to get a picture with Kodi after, but we did get a picture with Rex, one of the bands guitarist who we often see at local venues.

Matt Turns 49

Happy 49th Birthday Matt!  I'm glad we could at least celebrate with a La Cocina dinner and some gifts after your work day.  I can't believe next year will be the big 5-0!

GOHS Soccer Banquet 2020

Tonight marked our 7th and final GOHS Soccer Banquet!  The seniors were all set up at the head table
and reunited with their framed photo.
Love the Settle girls!

All of the Varsity seniors!
Coach Mark presented Allison with the "All League 1st Team Award", which means she was chosen as the best goalkeeper in the league.  A huge accomplishment and well-deserved after so many clutch saves this season.  Her high school career has come to an end, but she has grown so much and will be more than ready to prove herself at KWU!

Securitas "Momentum"

This week I attended Securitas' Pacific Region Kickoff in Huntington Beach.
It was 3 days of training, team bonding and lots of eating.
Since I normally work from home, it was a great opportunity to connect with my San Diego Area team!
It was a special honor receiving an award for Accounts Receivables at our opening night Awards Ceremony.  Our Region Controller, Ian, presented it to me along with the Region VP and President.
So grateful to my boss/friend Kelly for giving me this opportunity and being able to work from home for 16 years now!
We had this gorgeous view for all of our meals
and ate the best food!
There were lots of laughs and times to relax and have fun!

What a great kickoff to 2020!

Still Kickin'

Hank's band has been performing regularly at Lorimar Winery.  Today all of the "littles" reunited with the families to watch them play and enjoy the nice weather.
A lovely day of wine and music!

25 YEARS!

Today marked 25 years with SDSO for Matt.  So crazy to look back on this academy graduation photo and think of all that has happened throughout his career. From the jails, to patrol, school resource officer, detective, sergeant to lieutenant and everything in between.
Congrats on 25 years!

Mom's Disney Day

On the tram for our Annual Mom's Disney Day!
This year wearing matching shirts "Happiest Mom on Earth"!
We always have the best day maximizing our time with Fast Passes,
eating churros, pretzels and treats from Pooh Bakery.

This year we were able to explore the new Star Wars area
and get a very expensive drink inside the Cantina!
Our traditional picture on the Matterhorn

I love these ladies and our tradition!

Ladder Canyon

We were off on another adventure today!  We drove 2 hours east to Ladder Canyon.  We followed a very bumpy gravel road that opened up to this
beautiful slot canyon!
We walked through dry creek beds,
climbed up and down ladders

and walked through several narrow slots

for our fun day of adventure! With rain in the afternoon forecast, we ate lunch while hiking rather than taking time to picnic, but loved this hike!
We finished the day with a quick stop at the Salton Sea. The shore was made up of tiny little shells/fish bones and the water was super stinky so we didn't stay long, but we can cross that off of the list too!

Senior Night!

After spending all 4 years on Varsity, Allison finally got her Senior Night! The seniors wore sashes to school
and were then celebrated before their final home game tonight against Chaparral.  Each girl was announced with their families and walked through the tunnel as a pre-recorded message played over the intercom.  Allison thanked her coaches, teammates and family for helping get to this point.  She also wrote Matt and I the sweetest letter thanking us for the sacrifices we made to help her reach her dream.  Tears!
Banners lined the fence
and each senior was presented with a framed photo and "big head"!

So grateful to all that came out to support our girl.  It was a special night!
Allie and Lindsey formed a special bond as friends and teammates this season and I know Lindsey was sure sad to see it come to an end. We are confident she will be a strong leader next season!
Allison's two besties...Kylee and Turbo!
So grateful to the kind photographer who donated her time to get these amazing senior shots!

I so love this girl and am so grateful for all that soccer has done in her life!
