World Cup Champions!

We had a house full of kids over today for the Women's World Cup Final.  It has been a great few weeks of soccer and the US peaked exactly when they needed to with a huge win over Germany in the semi-final.
I set up a taco salad bar for everyone to enjoy and the game was absolutely amazing.  We all predicted a close game against Japan, but the US came out so strong.  Carly Lloyd scored in the first 3 min and again in the 5th min on two set pieces.  Everyone was going crazy!  Then Holiday put one in the 14th and Lloyd scored in the 16th min from midfield.  Unbelievable!!  It was the first hat trick in Women's World Cup history!
Although the game didn't have the suspense we had expected, it was a wonderful showing by the US women as they defeated Japan 5-2
and reclaimed the World Cup trophy after 16 years!
Congratulations TEAM USA!
