Wedding Day

Chris and Merritt came to our hotel this morning for a short swim before everyone got ready for the wedding.
It was raining pretty hard all morning so we took a family photo at the hotel before heading out to DeWitt. It almost looks like we tried to coordinate our outfits :)
 Cousins!
We were so glad Grandma was feeling good and able to come to the ceremony.  She looking great at 90 years young!
Uncle Mike and some of his good looking crew.
My mom was asked to do a reading and did a very nice job and they both looked coordinated too!
My cousin Bethany caught the bouquet at our wedding almost 18 years ago.  She looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle and it was a beautiful ceremony…very personal and I loved her song choices played by a string quartet.
Uncle Brian with his family from Colorado
Merritt was so excited to show off her pretty dress!
 The Boenig crew
After the ceremony, some of us went to a nice lunch in downtown Davenport before arriving at The Figge museum for the reception.  The bride/groom/bridal party table was so pretty
and the museum was a great venue with heavy appetizers and desserts.
My Uncle Greg gave a wonderful toast and the Matron of Honor's speech was so funny, sweet, personal and just perfect.
I was lucky enough to grab some snuggle time with Oliver.
My cousin Anna now lives in New York even though we keep trying to get her to move closer to us!
 Handsome group of groomsmen
The "tie on the head" tradition that somehow started at our wedding still goes on at each Barnes' wedding
The next generation loves it too!
The "Taking Care of Business" dance is another tradition and is Allison's favorite.  Even the bride made it look easy!
Matt with my dad, Uncle Pat, Uncle Bill, Chris and Uncle Mike
The girls and I with Brooke, Merritt, Aiden and Cooper. She is due in October with another boy.  He will be my Grandma's 16th great grandchild!

A big congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Oberfoell!  It was a wonderful day and we were so happy to be there to help them celebrate!
