GOHS Homecoming 2014

Tonight was the superhero-themed Homecoming dance at GOHS.  Taylor found this dress at Irvine Spectrum a few weeks ago.  I love, love, love this color on her!

After a few backyard photos in the blazing heat, we all went over to a house in Santiago Estates for pictures.  The family who hosted doesn't even have a high schooler, but loves Kirsten like a daughter and so kindly opened up her beautiful home.
They took photos all over the 3 acre property.  Such a cute bridge over a creek bed.

They did anything to find shade.  It was still over 100 degrees at 5:45.

One final group shot before dinner.  The shoes were off after 20 minutes.  Luckily, the girls all brought Converse to wear into the dance.
The host had special touches all over the property to personalize the event.  It was a scene straight out of Pinterest!
Dinner for 12 was served at this cute farm table.  The burlap table runners and napkin holders were so cute.
I loved the mason jars for Italian sodas!
There were candles and succulents lining the whole table.

By the time they sat down for their pasta dinner, the sun was setting a little bit.  It was a little cooler for an outdoor dinner and this adorable patio.
I think the girls loved the experience and enjoyed it so much more than a loud, crowded restaurant.  From what I have heard so far, the dance was a huge success.  So, so hot and crowded, but a ton of fun!
