Carnival Panorama Day #3

This morning we arrived in gorgeous Cabo San Lucas!
The weather was perfect and we spent some time on the deck enjoying the sunshine while we waited to take the water taxi to the harbor.
The water taxis picked us up and we got a pretty cool view of our ship from sea.
After a quick taxi ride, we arrived at The Office to put our name in for a traditional Mexican lunch.
While we waited, we met up with the Mascardo's who were vacationing here too.
It was a quick visit, but fun for the girls to play in the water and soak up the sun
with our ship in the distance!
Lunch at The Office was so fun and so good!  Fresh chips and guacamole,
 ice cold Coronas,

 fresh tortillas
and the best entrees while sitting with our feet in the sand!
We did a little shopping too before making our way back to the boat.

In the evening we went to dinner and then the show in the Liquid Lounge
and checked out the deck party.

Carnival Panorama Day #2

Day 2 was spent at the breakfast buffet, working out at the fitness center, and soaking in lots of sunshine on the Serenity deck!  It didn't take long for the girls to relax and get used to this!
Each evening we came to our room to get cleaned up for dinner, we had a different towel animal in our rooms.
Tonight's dinner was one of 2 formal nights so fun to get a little dressed up!
I love my crew!
Tonight's evening entertainment was a few drinks and a lot of singing
at the Piano Bar with Piano Dude Gregg.  We put in a few suggestions and had fun singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody and Sweet Caroline!

Carnival Panorama Day #1

This afternoon we drove to the Long Beach Cruise Terminal
and boarded the brand new Carnival Panorama for week long cruise to the Mexican Riviera!
We spent the afternoon exploring the many beautiful
features of the ship,

got ourselves a few drinks as we set sail

and watched the sunset as we left port.
We joined in on the deck party,

found our favorite sports bar Pig and Anchor and had our first dinner at the Vista Restaurant.  It's going to be a fun week!

Christmas in Danville

We drove up to Danville to spend Christmas with my parents and visit a few friends.

We enjoyed a fun girl's afternoon making cookies with the Mascardo family and the girls had an extra special treat visiting Phoenix and her 11 pups!

They were in puppy heaven!
We fit in lunch with the Houston's as well
and Jack loved his new police helicopter!
We took some family photos before Christmas Eve mass and Grandma made Grandma Lil's pasta sauce for Christmas Eve dinner.
We enjoyed a quiet Christmas morning opening presents and had a delicious turkey dinner in the afternoon.  It was a nice few days visiting and having some good family time!

Allison Receives An Academic Letter

Allison received her Academic Letter today at GOHS!  She has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.97 in her 4 years and makes us so proud as she juggles school, sports, community service, leadership and friend/family time.
She is so deserving of this award
and has surrounded herself with a lot of special students.  Congrats to all of them who represent the top 15 percent of GOHS students!
She is filling up her letterman jacket nicely!

Allison and I went down to San Diego with Tami and Kylee to watch the San Diego Holiday Parade of Lights.  It was a chilly rainy night, but helped us get in the holiday mood!

White Elephant Ugly Sweater Party

Matt and I were invited to a White Elephant Ugly Sweater party tonight with several of his coworkers. We may not have won "best ugly sweater",
but I think we won "best gift" with our box of a dozen Peterson's donuts.  The Norton's were thrilled to win them!

Thanksgiving Break

Taylor is home for Thanksgiving break!
She spent lots of time with her puppies,
we celebrated her belated 20th birthday,
watched Allison play in Surf Cup (met a fellow KWU teammate and the new KWU keeper coach, Miranda)
and made time for a few family dinners.  She will be home in 18 more days for the winter break.
