SDSI Celebrates 35 Years

It was another successful year at the SDSI 35th Annual Shoulder Course at the Hilton Bayfront!  However, this year felt a little different with Larky unable to attend.  Her husband Ed has been battling Cancer and was home on hospice, so we all pitched in to pick up the pieces and make sure all ran smooth in her absence.  Leslie was a rock star and everyone, from faculty to registrants, kept Larky and Ed in their prayers as we went through the week.
As has become tradition, Dr. Esch took us out to a lovely dinner to kickstart the week.  Dr. Alberton joined us in Larky's absence and we had a great time at The Oceanaire Seafood Room.
We worked long days all week, but were spoiled as usual.  Massages on Thursday night
followed by some fun girl time in the suite.
Friday night's Faculty Dinner had a bit more of a casual feel this year with a Hawaiian-themed luau.

Taylor and Lauren were the official greeters and were happy to have been invited to stay for the dinner.

There were hula dancers and fire dancers and lots of delicious tropical dinner items.

It also happened to be Reanna's Sweet 16 so the littles went out to fondue to celebrate while we attended the dinner.
All of the faculty gathered around so we could get a group shot to send to Larky.  It sure wasn't the same without her, but she was right where she needed to be.
Cheers to another great event and fun time with great ladies/family!
