Our wonderful neighbors, Chip and Teresa, are good to us all year but especially spoil the girls around Christmas. For the past few years, they have picked up the girls in their convertible, driven to all the hottest Christmas light spots and stopped for dessert along the way. This year, the convertible is off with Duffy at college but the Excursion worked just as well (the girls didn't have to put on so many layers)!
From the sound of things, they saw some real winners this year. Teresa always maps out their route and grades the locations for future reference. This one even had a radio station to tune in to follow along. Crazy!
Before heading home they all stopped at Marie Callendar's for Oreo Sundaes. Matt and I enjoyed a quiet night at home with just enough time to watch our newly purchased Hangover DVD. The girls walked in with all kinds of stories to share and big thank yous for Chip and Teresa. We are truly blessed to have them as neighbors and friends. I think the girls will want to keep this tradition going until they go to college!
