Today, we took off on our "girl's week" tour of the Midwest. We had an early morning flight out of San Diego, a layover in Phoenix and an arrival in St. Louis late afternoon.
The girls were a little disturbed by this sign in the airport bathroom! We checked into our hotel and met up with Grandma and Papa to begin our St. Louis tour.
Our first stop was Cunetto's House of Pasta, located right on The Hill. We were starving, but quickly learned we should have shared the entrees!
After eating all she could eat, Allison didn't even look like she made a dent in her fettucini!
After dinner, Papa took us to the house my Grandma Lillian lived in as a child. We weren't sure exactly which house it was, but we certainly got a sense of the neighborhood.
Before departing for our trip, I researched some of the "must-try" treat spots in all of the cities we would be visiting. Ted Drewes was at the top of the list with amazing frozen custard. A tour bus even stopped which lets you know it is good!
On our way back to the hotel, we drove through Forest Park and by the St. Louis Zoo. The park was seemed endless with beautiful landscaping and activity.
