After months of anticipation our summer Road Trip got underway early this morning. We all agreed that driving straight to Park City, Utah was a little too much for one day, so we decided to break it up into a two-day drive.
After four hours in the car, we stopped in Las Vegas for some lunch and an opportunity to stretch our legs. It was HOT, so we spent most of the time walking around the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace before getting back in the car.
The kids couldn't believe there was a roller coaster on the top of the Stratosphere!
We drove a little further out of Nevada, into Arizona for about 20 minutes and finally into Utah. The Virgin River Gorge was the most amazing part of the drive into Southern Utah.
The mesas and red rock displays were so beautiful!
Our rest stop for the night was St. George, Utah. It is a quaint little town surrounded by gorgeous red rock.
We ate a delicious dinner at The Pizza Factory...those breadsticks were the best we have ever had!
We walked around the town, loving the perfect weather and taking in the scenery.
