The Town Lift is just across the street from our hotel (the turquoise building). We headed up the lift early
to go to the top of Park City Resort for a nice hike down the mountain.
From the top, there are trails everywhere for hikers and mountain bikers
and spectacular views of the winter ski runs
and the gorgeous Park City.
We began our hike down the Payday trail
and followed the switchbacks underneath the chair lift.
The combination of open meadows and wooded areas made for a good balance of sun and shade.
It took us about two hours from start to finish and once at the bottom, we looked back up and were pretty proud of our accomplishment. Initially, I thought it would have been fun to hike up and then back down. What was I thinking? Thank goodness, Matt and the girls convinced me to take the lift up. That altitude is a killer!
