It was finally Allison's turn to take the field for her first grass tournament of the season. We were in San Juan Capistrano for the Joy Fawcett Classic. They lost their first match 2-0 to LA Galaxy South Bay Gray, but won the afternoon game 2-1 against SC Athletic.
Unfortunately, the morning loss automatically put them in the Consolation bracket for Sunday. They won the morning game 1-0 over LA Galaxy South Bay White, but lost the afternoon game 1-0 against SC Athletic.
Allison spent much of her time in goal, allowing 2 goals in the weekend. She had some very nice stops and punts, but is still a little rusty after so much time off.
Although it wasn't much, she did love her time on the field as well, trying to contribute. The team is really moving the ball well and dominating play, but they are sure struggling to find the net. I hope it will click soon because these "nail-biter" games are tough to watch!
