Matt had to work on my actual Birthday so we celebrated yesterday with a bike ride on the beach.
We borrowed the girls bikes and unloaded at Mission Beach.
We rode all of the way from South Mission and up the boardwalk far past Pacific Beach. Matt looked so cute on Allison's butterscotch beach cruiser!
For me, there is no better way to spend the day...sun, surf and exercise!
We couldn't believe what we spotted on our ride...this huge pot-bellied pig just grazing in the grass overlooking the water. Apparently, a local yoga instructor lets it roam while he teaches yoga near by.
Matt had no problem getting up close and personal with it! We stopped for lunch at the Wave restaurant and enjoyed an outdoor table to soak in the beautiful weather before heading home to pick up the girls from school. Not a bad Monday!
Today, I was treated to our traditional donut breakfast, lots of fun gifts and very sweet cards
and ended the birthday day with my favorite Baskin Robbin's mint chocolate chip log cake!!
Now the countdown to 40 is officially underway...
