When we returned from skiing on Tuesday, we spent what felt like hours, watching these brave (or stupid) guys shoveling snow off of our 5 story hotel roof in preparation for the upcoming storm.
On Wednesday morning, we opened the windows to this gorgeous view. I loved how the village paths were heated so they didn't accumulate snow!
We decided to take the gondola up to Canyon Lodge for a different view.
The giant trail map at the top of the gondola and the snow blowing pretty hard.
Matt made this cute creature with the snow on top of the table.
The Westin hotel was right across the street from the Village Lodge and was gorgeous with untouched snow.
Since the tubing place was closed, we hiked the Ski Back Trail behind our hotel for some snow fun.
The girls had never seen snow like this before.
As soon as you walked off the path, you fell waist-high into snow.
We created our very own loveseat...
Had lots of snowball fights...
Tucked in snowcaves...
and built their very first snowman.
It was a winter wonderland and the perfect way to end our trip. We couldn't have asked for better weather and we look forward to visiting again. I think Matt was very pleased with his destination choice and had a great birthday week!
