This morning we woke up docked in Mazatlan! We decided to book tickets on the Hop On/Hop Off bus to see the sights of the city.
Our first stop was to see the cliff divers jump into that tiny stretch of water tucked between the 2 rock formations.
Pretty cool to watch, but we were annoyed by how much they hounded us for tips. Back on the bus to the downtown district.
We walked a few blocks around the downtown to see the Catholic Church,
town square,
food markets
and fruit stands.
Then back on the bus for our last stop to the Golden Zone district. We got tacos and Pacificos at Lucky Bastard's
and Mexican pastries at the local bakery.
On the bus ride back to the boat, we drove along the Malycon which runs for miles along the water.
We had some fun views from the top of the double decker bus.
As the sun set, we sailed out of Mazatlan and got ready to celebrate New Year's Eve.
We met up at Pig and Anchor to visit our favorite group of bartenders
and waited for our dinner table to be ready.
We had a special dinner menu
and special accessories left in our room to celebrate the night.
We spent some time back in the Piano Bar and then
rang in the New Year with Cruise Director Emma and the majority of the ship!
