The Curtis Family was here doing a 3-day Disneyland trip. We surprised the girls with tickets for Christmas to meet up with them for one of the days. Unfortunately Matt wasn't feeling well, so I took the girls.
It was an early wake up call, but I'm glad we got there when the park opened and before it was too crowded. We rushed to do Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn and Indiana Jones before the lines got too long.
We met up with the Curtis' around 10 and had a great day exploring the park with them. I love that we just pick up right where we left off and the kids get a long so well. Tanner and Allison competed on the Buzz Lightyear ride until it broke down and we had to be escorted off the ride. At least we got a Fast Pass to come back later.
We all paired up for the Autopia ride and
Olivia was thrilled to have other girls around!
We splurged on lots of sugar and my favorite chocolate/caramel covered marshmallow!
We made lots of funny faces on Space Mountain
and took selfies on It's a Small World!
I loved the Jingle Bells version that they still had for the holidays.
The kids all posed in the Toon Town Dog Pound
and did some heavy lifting.
Looking good in the 3D glasses for Star Tours.
Since the lines were getting so long, we took time out to rest our feet and get a front row seat for the parade.
I had never seen the Paint the Night Parade before.
It was absolutely spectacular and magical!
We loved all of the amazing floats from the various Disney movies and the music was so fun!
It's a Small World was so pretty at night!
I sure wish we got to see these guys more often, but I'm grateful for the time together. We had such a fun day!
We caught one last glimpse of the castle at night and watched the fireworks from the tram as we headed back to the car. 12 hours of Disney fun and time with dear friends...a great day!
