He's Still Got It!

It has been a lot of years since Matt was in uniform and in a patrol car, but the other night he had his first "brawl" since promoting to Sergeant. He was supervising his deputy for a call at a local motel. They were looking for a guy with a warrant who was staying at the motel. When they arrived at the room, the suspect ran into the parking lot.

The guy had meth on him and was high on it as well. Matt chased after him, tackled him to the ground...unfortunately right into a rose bush. Because the suspect was high, he had crazy strength and it took 3 deputies and a taser to get the guy in handcuffs. He was later taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The rose bush may have gotten the best of Matt's hands and nose, but he was able to chase down the bad guy and get him in custody. Yep, he's still got it!
