Students held the Flag of Honor that lists the names of the nearly 3,000 victims of the 9/11 attacks and the entire school paused for a minute of silence.
Students (including Allison) held the chains of kindness, while a few 5th graders read theirchain links out loud. They explained how they would perform an act of kindness on 9/11 as a tribute to the victims.
The 5th graders lead the entire school in "God Bless the USA".
The ceremony ended with local police and fire doing a siren send-off. Although most of TTES students weren't even born by 9/11/2001, it is important for them to understand what occurred that day and honor those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
