I volunteered to chaperone Allison's field trip since it will likely be her last one in elementary school. Each year, third graders study Temecula history so we made our way to Old Town Temecula for a guided tour.

First stop...Sam Hicks Monument Park
Our tour guide was Mr. Jimmy Moore and he was great with the students and had so many stories about Temecula history.

the new City Hall building...
the Old Temecula Jail, the Bank and a few other historical sites.
We ate a picnic lunch at the park and then went into the Temecula Museum to see Native American artifacts, flag displays and learn about the man our school was named after...Tony Tobin.
The students got to try on fun clothes and climb on a life-size horse too! It was a busy, educational day and I give a lot of credit to our wonderful teachers who do this everyday. I was exhausted!!
