Matt and I always said we would never ski on a weekend or holiday...traffic is a nightmare and it is just too crowded.
But with snow conditions like this, great weather, a day off of school and free tickets, we couldn't pass up another day on the slopes.
We got up early and caravaned with the Lebitski's up to Snow Valley. The girls have been dying to ski together all season and I think this may have been the only chance to do it. They have all become such strong skiers and love the time they spend together. This was the best snow I have ever skiied in, but have been told this is nothing compared to what we will see in Mammoth next week!

Slide Peak opened for the first time this season. The powdery conditions were amazing at the peak of the mountain, but we weren't that impressed with the runs. However, we couldn't get enough of this gorgeous view.
I think this was the most snow either of our girls have ever seen. Reports show Snow Valley has a 3-4 foot base. Next week, Mammoth is set to have over 20 feet!!
Taylor sure wishes she could convince Lauren to miss school next week so they can join us on our next ski adventure, but was glad they at least had today!
