Man City Champs!

We spent our Memorial Day weekend at the Manchester City Cup in Oceanside.  It was Allison's first weekend with her new team and they were amazing!

Surf 2002's won all 5 games to be Cup Champions!

What a way to start the year ladies!

Our keeper didn't give up a single goal all weekend

and loves the ladies she has met on this team!  Looking forward to more great soccer to come!

Mother's Day

We had a great day in San Diego celebrating Mother's Day!  We walked around Waterfront Park

and rented bikes along the embarcadero.

We rode all along the water and stopped for lunch at Lolita's by Petco Park.

 Then back on our bikes along the Promenade

 and finished up back at the Cruise Terminal.

HT Award

Matt was awarded the Law Enforcement Data Award by Point Loma Nazarene University and the Center for Justice and Reconciliation!

We attended the event at Liberty Station and it was clear to see how respected Matt is by all that are fighting against Human Trafficking.

He gave a very nice acceptance speech and many were sad to hear he is leaving the task force.

 Proud family there to support!

Also nice that his Commander came to recognize him and represent the Sheriff's Dept!

Her Dream Came True

This lucky lady got quite the Sweet 16 gift!  She has been wanting a truck, but the F150 was way too big, so her very kind father sold the F150 and got this beautiful 2015 Toyota Tacoma!

It will be a family car for camping, beach trip, etc but for now Allison will love driving it to school and around town.  Enjoy it sweet girl!

Taco Bout A Party

We went with a fiesta-themed Sweet 16 since Allison's party fell on Cinco De Mayo.

 We had a taco/nacho bar and colorful decorations all over the backyard.

She truly has the most polite and sweetest friends

who laughed, sang, ate and swam all night long!

 All of her adorable sophomore girls!

 We expected the piñata to last longer than it did

 but it made for some fun times and lots of candy.

Our hearts were so happy to see her treated so kindly by friends and it was the perfect ending to a special birthday week!  

Licensed!

 She passed with flying colors (even on a cold/rainy morning)

and is officially driving to school and around town!

Bittersweet!

Celebrating 16

Turning 16 on a Tuesday isn't all that exciting, but we did our best to make it a special Sweet 16!

 Allison chose Shogun for her bday dinner so we went Sunday night

 since Matt will be teaching on Tuesday and Allison has soccer tryouts.

 On Tuesday morning,  the birthday girl woke up to the traditional decorated door

 and birthday coffee cake and a few gifts (a truck will hopefully be coming soon!).
