I arrived a few days early for Mom's weekend. I spent some time pretending to be a college student (as noted in Taylor's Snapchat)! I would park on campus each day, walk to McLean's Market or the Student Union and work on my laptop while Taylor was in class.
I visited my favorite spots, took a tour of the Natural History Museum with Taylor and did some shopping in the bookstore.
I met Taylor for a cookie and lemonade fundraiser for her friend's sorority event at Wescoe Beach,
got my first tour of the Chi Omega house (Taylor's home next year) and enjoyed nightly dinners with Taylor to finish off each day.
By Friday night, most of the moms had made it to Lawrence. We went out to a delicious Mexican dinner at Port Fonda with a fantastic group of moms and daughters. Taylor has some super sweet friends!
Then it was off to "The Hawk" to experience the bar scene. We listened to the bar band which was so cool
and I screamed like a little girl when I spotted 2 of KU's basketball stars!

Saturday night we attended the Chi Omega silent auction and dinner at Macula's Banquet Hall.
We were serenaded by the Beta boys and shared our family stories with girls and moms at our table.
Then it was off to The Bull and The Wheel to meet up with Andrew and some of their friends.

I finally had a chance to meet Richard, one of Andrew's closest friends from SAE.
We had such a great weekend in Lawrence and now I'm even more excited for Family Weekend in the fall. I sure love this kid and just love all that KU has done for her!!
